WVU Football Misses Out on Top In-State OL Da’Ron Parks
Just when WVU football fans thought a top in-state prospect was headed home to West Virginia, he ends up just moving from one ACC school to another.
Offensive lineman Da’Ron Parks signed with North Carolina on Wednesday, picking the Tar Heels over the Mountaineers, who pursued him following his recent de-commitment from Florida State.

A product of Nitro High School, Parks is listed at about 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds and considered a four-star prospect.
Parks, who was re-offered by WVU in January soon after Rodriguez took over, had offers on the table from most major brands.
Ranked as the No. 1 player in West Virginia and a four-star by 247 Sports, Parks’ offers include Alabama, Auburn, Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Miami (FL), Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina, State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, SMU, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, Virginia Tech and many others.
