WVU Football Signs Pair of Important Transfer for Offense

A couple more WVU football transfer players signed on Monday, both two important additions for the offense.

West Virginia has added Mississippi State transfer Cam Ball. who inked his deal a week after announcing his commitment.

Known as a blocking tight end, the 6-foot-7 and 250-pound Ball will spend his final year of eligibility in Morgantown.

After starting his college career with Buffalo in 2023, Ball moved up to Mississippi State in the SEC.

West Virginia has also signed UConn transfer Carsten Cassidy, who was reported as having signed on Jan. 9.

The 6-foot-7 and 300-pound Cassidy comes to Morgantown without ever allowing a sack in his carer. 247 Sports ranks Cassidy as their No. 23 offensive tackle.

Cassidy will have three years left of eligibility.ย 

A product of Rolesville High School in Rolesville, N.C., Cassidy was a key member of an offensive line that led the way for a rushing attack that averaged 211 yards per game and finished with 33 touchdowns during his senior year.
