WVU Jumps at Chance to Offer Former Florida Commit 2027 4-Star WR Tramond Collins

A day after seeing top 2027 recruit Tramond Collins withdraw his commitment from an SEC school, the WVU football staff jumped at the chance to send an offer to join the Mountaineers in the Big 12.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Tramond Collins, a four-star wide receiver, announced his offer from West Virginia on Monday. Collins revealed that WVU wide receives coach Ryan Garrett called him directly to make the offer.

A product of Florida’s Cottondale High School, Collins committed to former Gators head coach Bill Napier in June. At the time of his commitment, he also held offers from Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, North Carolina, UCF, USF and others.

Maryland, Miami (FL) and Vanderbilt all sent him an offer over the summer after his commitment to Florida.

Collins is ranked as the No. 11 Florida player by 247 Sports and a top 130 prospect nationally by most major recruiting services. Viewed as an athlete by some, Collins is being recruited as a wide receiver by West Virginia.
