WVU Legend Jerry West Honored With NBA 75th Anniversary Team During All-Star Weekend

During the NBA’s All-Star weekend, the league celebrated their 75th anniversary by listing the top 75 players of all-time. Among this list was West Virginia legend Jerry West.

The NBA invited out all of the players that made the list. The all-time greats took pictures and had a great time together, except for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. West was seen taking pictures with the other Los Angeles Lakers greats that made the list.

“The logo” was honored at halftime of the all-star game and took the stage with an ovation from the city of Cleveland.

West spent 39 seasons with the Lakers organization, playing from 1960-74, coaching from 1976-79 and served as the executive from 1979-2000. West won six NBA Championships with his time spent with the Lakers before serving as an executive for the Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. West was a 14-time NBA All-Star, won the 1969 NBA Finals MVP and had his No. 44 retired by the franchise.
