After only leading 18-16 by a basket through one quarter of play, Kellogg’s team turned it on and completely dominated the rest of the game. A 17-2 second quarter was followed by more of the same after half time and a 24-12 third quarter edge.
For a standout performance, JJ Quinerley reached a new career-high with four threes in the game.

Unlike the men’s team who will have several games under their belt before brawling with their close rival to the north, the WVU women’s basketball team will travel to Pittsburgh on Friday for an early season rivalry game with Pitt.
The Panthers also opened their season with a win, but in a much closer game. Pitt got by Yale 79-74 despite being outscored in the second half.
