West Virginia women’s basketball has postponed its upcoming game against Coppin State, the team announced Monday. The Golden Eagles have paused team activities due to COVID-19.

The Mountaineers (5-1) and Golden Eagles (0-1) were scheduled to play on Dec. 22 and will attempt to reschedule the game for a later date, according to a press release from WVU.

Coppin State was scheduled to be WVU’s final non-conference game of the season. West Virginia’s next game is scheduled for Dec. 18 against Oklahoma State, the team’s Big 12 opener. The Mountaineers will then play Ohio on Dec. 20.
