Saturday, the West Virginia wrestling team had three Big 12 duals in a single day across two different states. They won two of them. With that, the Mountaineers are now 5-2 overall, 1-1 in the Big 12 on the year. As a result, four WVU grapplers find themselves nationally ranked across the various polls: Killian Cardinale (125); Ryan Sullivan (133); Peyton Hall (165); and Noah Adams (197).

The biggest adjustment in this week’s iteration of the national ranking is 133-pounder Ryan Sullivan jumping into the top-20 in all four polls for the first time this season. The rapid rise for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native comes after he has won his last four matches, three of which came against ranked opponents. He assumed the starting spot at 133 on Jan. 31. Similarly, Noah Adams has fallen from his consensus No. 1 ranking after suffering his first loss since Nov. 3, 2019.
