TBT Announces 2021 Bracket and Schedule, Best Virginia to Play on ESPN

The 2021 TBT will kick off on Saturday, July 17 with four games in Charleston, WV, beginning with games by the Marshall alumni team Herd That and the WVU alumni team Best Virginia.

TBT released the bracket for its tournament this summer Monday morning, including the list of 16 teams that will be playing in Charleston in the first three rounds. Sideline Cancer is the no. 1 seed in the region with Best Virginia and Herd That at no. 2 and no. 3. Also in the regional are Armored Athlete, War Ready (Auburn), Team 23, D2, Primetime Players, Fort Wayne Champs, Bleed Virginia, Georgia Kingz, Bucketneers (Eastern Tennessee State University), HBCUnited, Team DRC, Woco Showtime (Wofford) and Founding Fathers (JMU).

Herd That will play no. 14-seed Team DRC in the first game of the regional at noon on July 17. Best Virginia will play in the next game at 2 p.m. against no. 13-seed Woco Showtime, made up of former Wofford players. Both of those games will be broadcast on ESPN.

Four more games will be played on Sunday with round two of the tournament slated for Monday. The third round will be played Wednesday, July 21 with two winners moving on to the TBT Championship in Dayton, Ohio at the end of the month.

Best Virginia also announced two exhibition games the team will play prior to the start of the tournament, July 7 in Beckley and July 9 in Wheeling.
