Oklahoma State Ineligible to Participate in March Madness in 2022
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – It was announced on Wednesday morning that the NCAA denied Oklahoma State’s appeal, making the Cowboys ineligible for the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

The Cowboys were in the same situation last season, but were able to delay the appeal hearings until this year. Mike Boynton coached Oklahoma State to the round of 32, led by No. 1 NBA draft pick Cade Cunningham.
Boynton was apart of the staff in 2016 that took part of the infractions but was not the coach involved.
Former associate head coach Lamont Evans was accepting bribes to steer players to Oklahoma State, according to ESPN. Evans was sentenced to prison in 2019.
Oklahoma State was looking forward to returning to the NCAA Tournament after bringing back Isaac Likekele, Avery Anderson, while adding Memphis transfer Moussa Cisse and Kansas transfer Bryce Thompson. Now, the Cowboys will have to wait until 2023 to return to March Madness.
