Kwiatkoski, approaching his seventh NFL season, has been a free agent since Mar. 16. The Raiders dropped him during offseason jostling in the front office. He was two seasons into a three-year deal with the team, but was rehabbing an ankle injury sustained in 2021. He’ll enter 2022’s season with 286 career tackles, 17 of which were for loss, between his four seasons with the Chicago Bears and pair with the Raiders.
NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero has been following Kwiatkoski’s movements closely, monitoring meetings with the Raiders, Falcons, and a third unnamed organization. Pelissero announced earlier that Kwiatkoski and the Falcons came to a one-year deal. The amount of money on the table for the veteran linebacker is undisclosed.
