Former WVU WR EJ Horton Finds Final College Home

WVU Football WR EJ Horton Jr.

Former WVU wide receiver EJ Horton has found his new college home. This comes two weeks after he decided to transfer and leave the Mountaineers.

Horton has committed to FAU for the 2024 season, his final year in college football.

“Officially in the portal, grad transfer, can play all special teams,” posted Horton on X (Twitter) at the  time of his West Virginia exit. He will be a grad transfer with one year left of eligibility.

Horton, who signed with WVU in May last year after spending three seasons with Marshall, will now play outside of the state for the first time in his college career. He ended up staying in West Virginia after initially committing to Colorado early in the offseason.

After recording 186 receiving yards on 12 catches in 12 games for the Thundering Herd in 2023, Horton caught just 10 balls for 201 yards and scored a touchdown as a Mountaineer.
