With the schedule release, this means that WVU will face Oklahoma and Texas just once more at the coliseum and no return trips to Norman or Austin. The Mountaineers will welcome new conference teams Cincinnati, Houston and UCF to Morgantown but will travel to face Houston.
West Virginia is entering their first season under head coach Mark Kellogg. Kellogg was hired in early April after former head coach Dawn Plitzuweit departed for Minnesota after one year. Kellogg comes from Stephen F. Austin where he posted a 78% winning percentage over eight seasons.
