West Virginia WBB Releases Non-Conference Schedule

West Virginia WBB has released their non-conference schedule for the upcoming season. The Mountaineers are led by first-year head coach Mark Kellogg, by way of Stephen F. Austin.

vs. Youngstown State – Nov. 19

vs. George Washignton – Nov. 23 (San Juan Shootout)

vs. Charlotte – Nov. 24 (San Juan Shootout)

vs. Southern Illinois – Nov. 25 (San Juan Shootout)

vs. St. Bonaventure – Dec. 2

vs. Penn State – Dec. 4

vs. Delaware State – Dec. 10

vs. Wright State – Dec. 18

vs. Niagara – Dec. 21

The Big 12 released home-and-away matchups as the conference moves to 14 teams this season.

Home and Away: Baylor, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Iowa State, TCU

Home only: Houston, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech

Away only: BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State

With the schedule release, this means that WVU will face Oklahoma and Texas just once more at the coliseum and no return trips to Norman or Austin. The Mountaineers will welcome new conference teams Cincinnati, Houston and UCF to Morgantown but will travel to face Houston.

Kellogg was hired in early April after former head coach Dawn Plitzuweit departed for Minnesota after one year. Kellogg comes from Stephen F. Austin where he posted a 78% winning percentage over eight seasons.
