Ford-Wheaton Plans to Return for Fifth Year
“2022, Let’s run it back. #lastdance”
That’s how redshirt junior wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton announced his return to the WVU Football program next season, via Twitter.
Short, sweet, and to the point for WVU Football’s second most effective receiver. Although he was sidelined by injury for the Kansas game, Ford-Wheaton pulled in 40 balls for 560 yards and a trio of touchdowns in the remaining 11 games this season.

WVU’s 2022 receiving corps will return Ford-Wheaton, Winston Wright Jr., Kaden Prather, Sam James, Reese Smith, C.J. Cole, Graeson Malashevich, and add new signees Jeremiah Aaron and Jarel Williams. It’s already an area of head coach Neal Brown’s game which he sees great potential in, but this group will bring a wealth of depth and positive snaps to the position.
