Jevon Carter and Miles “Deuce” McBride are some of the former players that will represent West Virginia in the NBA playoffs this year. Carter earned a 1-seed with the Milwaukee Bucks and McBride will make his playoff debut with the 5-seed New York Knicks.

Carter completed his fifth season in the NBA, his first full season with the Bucks. The Illinois native averaged 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists through 81 games. Carter started in 39 games, helping the Bucks win 58 games. Carter and the Bucks will play the Miami Heat in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, starting on Sunday.

McBride saw more opportunities during his second year in the NBA with the Knicks. McBride appeared in 64 games, averaging 11.9 minutes per contest. McBride averaged 3.5 points and 1.1 assists this past season. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native shot 36 percent from the field this year. McBride and the Knicks will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
