JJ Quinerly Carving Out Solid Rookie Season, Makes WNBA History
JJ Quinerly continues to carve out a place for herself as a force to be recognized with in the WNBA. In fact, the WVU legend is coming off consecutive scoring highs and has even accomplished a league first.
Quinerly scored 18 points and was named her team’s Player of the Game on Monday, which surpassed the 17 she registered on July 3. These most recent performances beat the 15 points she scored in her first professional start on June 28.

As a complete player, Quinerly has also added a combined 12 assists and six rebounds in her last two games. She’s now averaging 5.6 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 boards per game in 18 games played and three starts so far during her rookie year.
And top it all off, Quinerly has already made history, becoming the first WNBA third round rookie since 1999 to score 15 points or more in three consecutive games. This is just further proof Quinerly can argue as the steal of the draft.
