Miles McBride Continues Shooting Tear in Another Start for Knicks
In another start along side Knicks super-star Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride showed he can be an adequate co-star on Friday night.
McBride scored 19 points in 33 minutes, connecting on 5-of-8 shots to help New York defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 118-109 in an NBA Cup Group C game. He also sunk 5-of-7 three-pointers and added a couple rebounds and an assist.

McBride, who started for a stretch two weeks ago when Brunson was out of the lineup, opened the day averaging 10.6 points per game and shooting 41.9% from the field through 14 games.
McBride has now scored exactly 19 points in back-to-back games. He was also extremely efficient, hitting 6-of-8 shots on Wednesday night in the Knicks win over Charlotte.
The Knicks entered the 2025-26 season after falling short to the Indiana Pacers in last seasonโs the Eastern Conference Finals. Last year, McBride averaged 9.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in 64 games played. In the postseason, he had 5.8 points per game.
McBride has become a key piece for the Knicks, having played 24.9 minutes per game while averaging 9.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds last season. He helped the Knicks advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they lost in six games to the Indiana Pacers.
In December 2023, McBride signed a $13 million extension with the Knicks over the next three years. The Knicks traded away several players throughout the season, allowing McBride to pick up more minutes in the rotation.
McBride played two seasons at West Virginia from 2019-21, leading the Mountaineers to an NCAA Tournament appearance during his sophomore year. McBride averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game at WVU.
