List: WVU’s Coaching Staff Visits High School Prospects This Week

This week marks the open recruiting period again where collegiate coaches can visit prospects at their homes or at school. As of last Friday, West Virginia’s coaching staff has scheduled visits with a good number of talented high schoolers.

This is the list WV Sports Now has been able to confirm so far and will be updated throughout the week.

Airious “Ace” Bailey / 2024 / F

Bailey (6-foot-10, 185 pounds) told WV Sports Now that an assistant from WVU will watch him work out at practice sometime this week. Bailey is a 5-star prospect from McEachern High School in Georgia.

Tyler Betsey / 2024 / F

Betsey (6-foot-8, 175 pounds) told WV Sports Now that four West Virginia coaches visited him in Windsor, Conn. over the weekend. Betsey’s recruitment has picked up a lot over the summer picking up notable offers from Alabama, Iowa, Providence, Rutgers, TCU, West Virginia, UConn and others.

Kingston Land / 2025 / F

Land (6-foot-8) was visited by WVU assistant Josh Eilert on Thursday. Land is a sophomore at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati. The forward holds offers from Bryant, Ohio and Xavier.

Bryce Lindsay / 2023 / G

Lindsay (6-foot-3, 170 pounds) told Joe Tipton of On3 Sports that West Virginia will be watching him practice this week at IMG Academy. Lindsay de-committed from South Carolina after the university parted ways with Frank Martin.

Alier Maluk / 2025 / F

Maluk (6-foot-10, 190 pounds) told WV Sports Now that WVU is supposed to come to Imani Christian Academy (Pa.) on Friday. Maluk, a 5-star sophomore, unofficially visited West Virginia on Aug. 20.

AJ McBride / 2024 / G

McBride (6-foot-4, 155 pounds) was visited by WVU assistant Josh Eilert on Thursday. McBride is the cousin of former WVU guard Miles “Deuce” McBride and currently plays at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati. The Ohio guard averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 23 games as a sophomore.

Jaeden Mustaf / 2024 / G

Mustaf (6-foot-5, 205 pounds) tells Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers that WVU is visiting him this week. Mustaf told WV Sports Now that WVU assistant Ron Everhart will be the coach in attendance. Mustaf is coming off a successful sophomore year at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md. Mustaf averaged 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals through 21 games.

Saliou Seye / 2023 / JUCO C

Seye (7-foot, 210 pounds) told WV Sports Now that WVU associate head coach Larry Harrison visited him at Ellsworth CC in Iowa on Sunday. Seye holds offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Iona, Iowa, Wichita State and others.

EJ Walker / 2025 / G

Walker (6-foot-8, 220 pounds) told WV Sports Now that WVU assistant Josh Eilert will be present on Thursday to watch him at practice in Kentucky. Walker is set to unofficially visit West Virginia on Saturday.

Colin White / 2024 / G

White (6-foot-5) told WV Sports Now that a WVU assistant will visit him sometime this week in Ohio. White plans on visiting West Virginia on Saturday with Walker.
