The WVU football program announced the signing of another transfer player in wide receiver EJ Horton. The Marshall transfer officially joins the Mountaineers two weeks after flipping his commitment from Colorado to West Virginia.

Horton (6-foot, 180 pounds) departed Marshall after three seasons. He recorded 186 receiving yards on 12 catches in 12 games for the Thundering Herd. The Louisville, Ky. native committed to Colorado on May 4.

Horton, who has three years of eligibility remaining, received interest in the portal from Ball State, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Jacksonville State, Liberty, Mississippi State, Rhode Island, Texas State and others.

West Virginia and Colorado essentially traded commitments as the Mountaineers lost WR Jaylen Ellis to the Buffaloes. Ellis, who transferred out of Baylor, originally committed to WVU before flipping to Colorado.

EJ Horton becomes the second transfer wide receiver to sign with WVU this week, joining Noah Massey.
