Miles McBride was an important part of the Knicks’ massive comeback win in game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night. McBride hit big shots in the third and fourth quarters when he subbed in for New York star Jalen Brunson.

“I thought Deuce gave us good minutes,” said Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau after the game.

McBride scored nine points in 15 minutes, going 2-for-6 from the field and 1-for-4 from three-point range in New York’s 106-100 win inside Indiana’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse. He also displayed a strong defensive effort, most notably one giant denial at the rim.

The Pacers still hold a 2-1 series lead, but the momentum has flipped to New York as the Knicks managed to secure the must-win and keep their hopes alive.

During the 2024 regular season, McBride averaged 9.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 40.6% from the field in 64 games.

McBride played two seasons at West Virginia from 2019-21, leading the Mountaineers to an NCAA Tournament appearance during his sophomore year. McBride averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game at WVU.
