Mountaineer Nation Tips Cap to Randy Mazey, WVU Baseball After Historic Season

The end of an historic WVU season also means the end of the career of Randy Mazey – the man responsible for making it all happen. So as West Virginia’s 2-1 loss to North Carolina on Saturday night began to sink in, members of Mountaineer Nation took to social media to congratulate their team on a great season and their coach on a great career.

Best WVU hire of the Big 12 era and it's not remotely debatable.

And he's left the program on a high note, set up for further success, with a guy whose been here with him.

You built a stadium, a team, and a fan base.

You found a way to bring together 1.8 million people together through your sport.

Refuse to be upset about that series. Absolutely gave the #4 team in the nation all they wanted and then some and went down fighting every pitch to the last out, like Mountaineers should.
