Report: WVU’s Steve Uryasz Emerges as Top AD Target at Tarleton State

WVU executive deputy AD and chief operating officer Steve Uryasz has emerged as a top target to become Tarleton State’s new athletic director, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports. Uryasz has been with West Virginia University since July 2016.

Thamel also reports that a deal is expected to be finalized within the upcoming days.

Uryasz was promoted to deputy athletic director in the summer of 2021 and has worked with Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
