Taylor Brown Bulks Up in Redshirt Year | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2026 WVU Football Roster.
Taylor Brown showed his loyalty to WVU Football in December 2024. After committing to the Neal Brown regime, he stayed on through the switch to head coach Rich Rodriguez, a testament to his connection to Morgantown and the Mountaineers as a program.
Brown bulked up considerably during his true freshman season, going from 260 to 290 pounds. Standing 6-foot-3, Brown played 3-technique in high school: now he has the bulk needed to match up against guards and centers in Power Four football.
Most interior linemen are expected to eat up blockers and close running lanes rather than rack up statistics, but Brown earned a four-star ranking from 247Sports because of his finesse as a hand-fighter, skills that could give him upside as a pass rusher as he continues to develop. He also wrestled in high school, providing an added bonus in body control, grappling and weight transfer.
