Twitter Reaction: WVU Football Fans Fed Up with Loss to Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa – There’s an argument to be made the 2023 vision of WVU football showed some signs of being better in their season opening loss to Penn State, but don’t tell that to West Virginia fans.
As usual, Mountaineer Nation was not shy in offering their thoughts about their team’s 38-15 loss to the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night.
That’s fine to feel that way.
But improving (ever-so-slightly) should not be the main goal for WVU football.
At what point does this staff put together a championship-contending team?
If that’s not the goal, then why is this program in the Big XII?

Looks the same to me..
Bright spots but never putting it together consistently.

Really? Because I see a defense that can’t cover and an offense that can’t throw the ball essentially one dimensional.

I've been a huge defender of Brown but it's time for a change. He's a good guy and I still think he might be a good coach but it just didn't work here. I hope he has a great career but it's time. I cannot believe this Greene beat out Marichol. Defense is a little better

OL is better, DL is better but that’s it. WR’s were terrible, QB play was bad, CB play was awful, play calling was horrendous.

Not everyone was negative though. There were some fans who agreed with the sentiment.
A lot better & right now I’m liking what I see.

Was a good opener for PSU. WVU played hard. A similar effort against future opponents ought to bring some wins. Allar is the real deal, outstanding arm strength and accurate touch.
