Mountaineers in the Pros

A former Mountaineer got involved in a sack party in Arizona on Sunday. Dante Stills has already surpassed his rookie season sack total, but his more experienced teammate Kyzir White was the one who registered a sack for the Cardinals.
White sacked Sam Darnold as one of four sacks by the Arizona defense in the game. Despite the sacks, the Vikings comeback to win the game 23-22 after trailing most of the day.

White recorded five total tackles in addition to the sack. He entered the game with 80 tackles on the season. Up until Sunday, White only had 0.5 sack on the season. He set a personal season best with two sacks during his first year with Arizona in 2023.
More known for interceptions, White sealed a victory in the early October with a pick.
White is in his second season with the Cardinals after signing with Arizona during the 2023 offseason. He appeared in the Super Bowl as a member of the Eagles after the 2022 season.
During his lone season in Philadelphia, White totaled 110 combined tackles, 1.5 sacks and seven passes defensed. The 2022 season marked the second consecutive year he surpassed 100 combined tackles. White’s individual success carried over to the playoffs as he led his team in tackles in the Eagles NFC Championship Game win over San Fransisco.
Prior to being drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, where he spent his first four NFL seasons, Kyzir White was a JUCO recruit from Lackawanna College. He then transferred to West Virginia, playing for the Mountaineers from 2016-2017. While at West Virginia, he played safety and forced four fumbles, recorded four sacks, 14.5 tackles for loss, 152 tackles and three interceptions in 25 games.
