With a disappointing loss to Texas Tech on Saturday, not only did West Virginia fail to pick up a win against the Red Raiders, but the Mountaineers failed to cover against the spread for just the second time this season.

WVU will look to rebound against Baylor this week, entering the matchup as a two-point underdog against a Bears squad that was ranked last week before dropping a game against No. 12 Oklahoma State. The over/under is set at 41.5 points.

DraftKings Sportsbook has roughly the same betting odds for WVU-Baylor, with Baylor opening as a 2.5-point favorite. A bet on WVU to cover currently holds -110 odds. The over/under is set at 45 points. A Moneyline bet for WVU has +135 odds while the same bet for Baylor has -155 odds.

FanDuel Sportsbook is slightly higher on Baylor, with the Bears opening as 3.5-point favorites. A bet on WVU to cover currently holds -132 odds. The over/under is set at 44.5 points. A Moneyline bet for WVU has +134 odds while the same bet for Baylor has -164 odds.

The Mountaineers had covered three spreads in a row before failing to cover against Texas Tech. WVU failed to cover in a loss against Maryland to open the season before covering in wins against Long Island University and Virginia Tech and in a loss against Oklahoma.

Baylor is 4-1 so far this season but has gone 3-2 against the spread. The Bears covered in wins against Texas Southern, Kansas and Iowa State but failed to cover in a win against Texas State and in a loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday.

WVU escaped Baylor 27-21 in overtime a year ago today in the teams’ latest matchup. This season’s game is scheduled for noon on Saturday, the game being broadcast on FS1.
