West Virginia Stays Put at No. 11 in Newest AP Top 25 Poll

The West Virginia Mountaineers are staying put at No. 11 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.

WVU (4-1) split its games this week, losing to No. 1 Gonzaga on Wednesday and defeating Georgetown Sunday. The Mountaineers opened this season at No. 15 in the preseason rankings and jumped to 11 last week.

Other Big 12 teams in this week’s AP poll are No. 2 Baylor, No. 7 Kansas and Texas Tech and Texas tied at No. 17.

WVU was also ranked No. 10 in the coaches poll.

WVU will begin its home schedule this week, taking on Robert Morris at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Coliseum. The Mountaineers will then turn around and host the No. 19 Richmond Spiders at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
