West Virginia zeroing in on 2019 JUCO safety

This morning I reached out to 2019 safety prospect Noah Guzman of Cerritos College, who was just recently offered by West Virginia defensive coordinator Vic Koenning yesterday.

The West Virginia offer meant a lot to him, being that they were the first school to offer. “It was so surreal to me. It was a dream come true to have a school like WVU offer me.” Guzman stated. “I got to talk to him (Coach Koenning) on the phone a little bit and he seemed like a real down to earth guy and can’t wait to meet him in person.” he added.

Although he just received the offer yesterday, Guzman informed me, “They were talking about bringing me out tomorrow to visit and are going to give me the full details today.” he said. As far as a decision date, he said we could expect one as soon as the visit to Morgantown is complete.

As a true freshman at Cerritos College, Guzman was named a 1st team All-California safety racking up 74 tackles, 2 interceptions and one forced fumble.

He will have four years of eligibility remaining including a redshirt, if necessary.

Stay tuned to DubVNation for the latest on Guzman’s recruitment.
