The campaign to bring a women’s soccer national championship to Morgantown began after Monday’s College Cup selection show.

The Mountaineers were awarded home field advantage through the first three rounds as the No.2 seed in the Palo Alto region.

Head coach Nikki Izzo-Brown and the Mountaineers will host Bucknell this Saturday at 1:00 PM and with a first-round win will host either La Salle or Rutgers in the second round.

West Virginia finished as the 2016 College Cup runner-up after falling to Southern California in the finals.
