Student-athletes from George Washington and South Charleston High Schools, including football prospect Zeiqui Lawton, put out a video asking Gov. Jim Justice to let them play this fall.

UPDATE – 3:52 p.m.

Poca will now play Hurricane on Monday, Sept. 14.

UPDATE – 12:22 p.m.

West Virginia baseball has started getting some work in at Mon County Ballpark. Coach Randy Mazey tells the Mountaineers “you never know if this is the team that can win the Big 12 Championship, but you’ve got to start today believing that this is the team that can win a Big 12 Championship.”

UPDATE – 7 a.m.

Paden City High will end its season after Friday’s game against Van. The Wildcats only have 11 players on the roster and will not finish their schedule following this week’s game.
