WVU Football Awarded Another Night Game, National Broadcast Against TCU

WVU Football against TCU

WVU football fans may actually be looking forward to the rest of the season coming off a big win against Pitt. So it’s a perfect time to learn more about the upcoming schedule.

The Mountaineers have one more home game this coming Saturday before heading out on the road. This week’s game against Texas Tech will kickoff at a 3:30 pm ET and then WVU will be back to playing at night.

It’s now been announced that the following week West Virginia and TCU will start at 8 pm ET from Fort Worth, Texas on September 30. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

As things stand, the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs are both 2-1 on the season. TCU just beat Houston 36-13 while West Virginia won the Backyard Brawl 17-6 over Pitt.

Last season, TCU defeated WVU 41-31 en route to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the College Football Playoff. TCU would lose to Georgia in the National Championship Game. This is in grave contrast to West Virginia finishing 5-7 and missing out on a bowl game all together.
