WVU Football Set as Rare Favorite Against Struggling Colorado
For the first time in two months, WVU will enter a game as the favorite. West Virginia’s 45-35 upset win on the road at Houston has triggered oddsmakers buying in on the Mountaineers for at least one week.
At the open of the week, DraftKings has WVU as a 5.5-point favorite in their upcoming matchup with Colorado. FanDuel is even more confident by setting the Mountaineers at -6.5.
While West Virginia is still only 3-6 and 1-5 in Big 12 play, the offense put up its best performance of the season against the Cougars. Scotty Fox led the WVU offense to 403 total yards with 246 registered on the ground. The defense even forced four turnovers as well, making big plays when necessary.
Also leading to West Virginia being the favorite at home, Colorado is coming off another blowout loss. Deion Sanders’ team fell to Arizona 52-17 and now has the exact same 3-6 (1-5, Big 12) record.
West Virginia and Colorado will kickoff from Milan Puskar Stadium at noon ET. The game will air nationally on TNT.
