WVU Football Showing Interest in Popular 2026 Georgia RB

To continue trying to establish a Georgia pipeline, the WVU football program sent an offer Christian “Deuce” Lawrence earlier this week. Lawrence revealed his offer on Jan. 31.
Signaling Lawrence is a high priority running back, WVU running backs coach Chad Scott called him directly with the offer.

Lawrence (5-foot-9, 185 pounds), who attends Thomas County Central, is considered a three-star recruit and ranked within the top 100 players in Georgia and top 50 running backs in the country by multiple national outlets.
With about 20 Division I offers, Lawrence has opportunities on the table from Power Four programs like Arkansas, Pitt, Purdue, UCF and Vanderbilt.
Lawrence ran for 1,468 yards on 161 carries for an average of 9.12 yards per in 2024. He scored 18 rushing touchdowns and caught 32 balls for 326 yards.
