WVU LB Trey Lathan Plans to Enter Transfer Portal
After already watching Josiah Trotter commit elsewhere, another young WVU linebacker plans to enter the transfer portal. Trey Lathan is entering the portal, per ESPN’s Max Olson on Wednesday.
Lathan (6-foot-1, 226 pounds) has started 17 games during his West Virginia career and still has two more years left of eligibility. He recorded 79 total tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in 2024.

โFootball is my life, but I learned my life isnโt over. It put it in perspective.. during those 5-6 months I had to really focus on my life and getting it back on track,” said Lathan while opening up about his recovery process ahead of the 2024 season in April.
