West Virginia sophomore point guard Miles “Deuce” McBride has been named the Big 12 Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This is McBride’s second weekly award this season and the second-straight week a WVU player has been named the co-player of the week.

McBride scored 17 points in WVU’s only game last week, an 84-82 win over then-no. 12 Texas. He also had four assists and three rebounds. McBride is WVU’s leading scorer this season, averaging 16.3 points per game shooting 43.6% from the floor and 44.9% from 3-point range.

McBride shares this week’s honor with Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham. The freshman scored 21 points with five rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the Cowboys’ victory over Iowa State.

West Virginia is scheduled to play three games this week, at TCU on Tuesday, at Baylor on Thursday and home vs Kansas State Saturday.
