Evans, who is a sophomore at North Hardin High School in Louisville, Kentucky, checks off a Division I school offering him a scholarship. West Virginia is the first DI school to offer the 6-foot-8 Evans.
As a freshman, Evans averaged 5.9 points and 5.5 rebounds for North Hardin.
Evans has not been ranked by 247Sports yet.
The offer to Evans makes it the second player in the class of 2024 that the WVU coaching staff has made an offer to. On Sept. 20, the Mountaineers made an offer to F Tyler McKinley, a player out of the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
