As the WVU football staff tries to rebound from their 48-14 loss to Utah, a top quarterback recruit shared his experience from his visit.

“Enjoyed my time in Morgantown at WVU. it was a great atmosphere thanks for showing love, Rhett Rodriguez,” said 2027 quarterback prospect DJ Hunter.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Hunter, a three-star recruit out of Budford, Ga., was an invited guest of the Mountaineers on Saturday.

Even though Hunter committed to Kentucky in April, he’s still been keeping his options open and checking out other Power Four programs during the 2025 season. Before his game day visit to WVU, Hunter recently took a trip to Ole Miss earlier in September. Virginia Tech has also shown interest in Hunter.
