WVU CB Daryl Porter Jr. Enters Transfer Portal

Published

on

Short. Sweet. To the point. WVU football is losing another player to the transfer portal. Redshirt freshman cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. is headed out of Morgantown. He will have three seasons of eligibility left.

He played in 19 games over two seasons with the Mountaineer secondary and notched 46 tackles (40 solo), one TFL, one interception, and five pass break-ups. He leaves behind eight cornerbacks: Nicktroy Fortune, Andrew Wilson-Lamp, Charles Woods, T’Rek Scipio, Naim Muhammad, Mumu Bin-Wahad, Marcis Floyd, and Tyrin Woodby. The loss of Porter Jr.’s seniority in the cornerback room is compounded by Jackie Matthews’ exit back on Jan. 2.
