Taz Sherman Has Great Performance in Reese’s All-Star Game

In the Reese’s All-Star Game in New Orleans, former West Virginia guard Taz Sherman scored 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

Sherman was wearing his mother’s No. 11 during the game. The Missouri City, Texas, native also had one rebound, two assists and 3-three’s in 18 minutes of play. Sherman’s West team lost to the East, 115-103 at the Caesars Superdome.

Sherman was invited to the event earlier this week.

Sherman spent three years at West Virginia after transferring from Collin College, a JUCO in Texas. Sherman raised his point per game average over his three seasons averaging 5.3 points his junior year, 13.6 points his senior year and 17.7 in his fifth-year. The 6-foot-4 guard shot 40 percent from the field in his career. Sherman became the 55th Mountaineer in program history to record 1,000-career points back in February.
