WVU’s Kedrian “Keddy” Johnson is not finished. Johnson announced on Wednesday that he will return to West Virginia for his fifth season.

Johnson made the decision official on his Twitter.

“Unfinished business. Loyalty is the pledge of truth to oneself and others. With that being said, I’m back,” Johnson wrote.

The Dallas native has spent two seasons at WVU, playing in 58 games for the Mountaineers. Johnson was a part of the West Virginia team that earned a 3-seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Johnson averaged 5.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals this past season. Johnson started in 30 games for the Mountaineers. The 6-foot-2 guard was top five in the Big 12 Conference in steals, with 52.

College athletes are given an option for a fifth year of eligibility after COVID-19 ruined the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. Johnson is 1-of-2 Mountaineers to have the decision to make. WVU guard Sean McNeil also has the option to return for a fifth season.

Johnson will have one more season at West Virginia.
