Source: Where Bob Huggins Could Be Headed, Marking End of Era in West Virginia
It’s clear an end of an era in Morgantown is coming. Bob Huggins has put his house on the market. This was initially made public by former Mountaineer John Flowers, who played on Huggins’ 2010 Final Four team at WVU, and has since been confirmed by WV Sports Now.
While it’s possible Huggins could just be moving from one house to the other, a source has also confirmed to WV Sports Now that the Hall of Fame coach is in fact moving out of Morgantown and West Virginia all together.
According to the source, Huggins is ether planning to move to his cabin in Ohio or to relocate down south to somewhere in Florida.
Where Huggins lives doesn’t really matter to WVU. Despite his controversial and unceremonious exit, he will eventually be honored by WVU a for his tenure as coach.
But Huggins departing West Virginia is still significant based on his charity work and annual fish fry that raises money for cancer research and the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Endowment at the WVU Cancer Institute, Vandalia Health, and the Remember the Miners Flagship Scholars Program. However, his relocation doesn’t mean he can’t still return for that event, of course.

Huggins’ time as leader of the Mountaineers came to an abrupt end in June, 2023 following multiple scandals.
Huggins, now 72, owns 935 career wins, which ranks third on the all-time wins list amongst coaches. He also led WVU (2010) to an appearance in the Final Four and Big East Tournament title. Huggins was named Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2015 and was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.

Time to move on and enjoy the rest of your life. Only two other coaches have done it better and we all make mistakes, but you leave behind a legacy and the loyalty you have for West Virginia is well measured. A persons life is measured not only by the accomplishments but the mistakes too and through it all you always, always loved WVU…God Bless you.

Slinking out of town like a coward without so much as an apology or any acceptance of responsibility for all the damage he caused.
He might have won some basketball games but in the game of life he is a loser.

He is such an entitled prick. Thought he deserved worship and can’t accept that most view him with contempt after he showed us who and what he really is.
Good riddance and at least the roads will be safer.
