BREAKING: WVU Loses Another LB to Injury

Published

on

The Mountaineers have gotten even thinner at the linebacker position. Once again, it’s due to a torn ACL.

During Sunday’s practice, Adam Hensley, junior linebacker, went down with a knee injury. It was confirmed on Monday that Hensley tore his ACL in his left leg.

Hensley has appeared in all six games for the Mountaineers so far this season. Playing as the MIKE and SAM, Hensley has totaled three tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack.

Hensley will require surgery, which will put an end to his season.

Linebackers Quondarius Qualls and Brendan Ferns are expected to be back by the end of the season which will be a huge boost for the defense. They are not yet practicing, but they should be ready to go by the time the Mountaineers host Oklahoma.
