Brown, West Virginia Looking to Add 2019 JUCO OL

After successfully keeping all of the 2019 early signees in the fold and adding a few late recruits of his own on National Signing Day, West Virginia head coach Neal Brown still has some holes to fill, including the offensive line.

Luckily for Brown, holding onto three scholarships for the 2019 class may fill one of those holes.

This past week, Brown and offensive line coach Matt Moore extended an offer to 2019 Iowa Western C.C. lineman Willie Tyler. Shortly after receiving his offer from the Mountaineers, Tyler began planning a visit to Morgantown for this coming weekend.

“I think it’s a great offer from a great football program. I can’t wait to get down there.”

The 6-foot-7, 330-pound JUCO product currently holds an offer from Louisiana Tech but sees himself flourishing in the Big 12.

“I like the Big 12 a lot. Most coaches have been saying I belong in the Big 12 because of my pass set, but I’ve also been interested in the Big 12 since I got to JUCO.”

This late in the process, Tyler would be a steal for the Mountaineers, but in order to peak his interest, Tyler says he’s looking for a school “with his major (sports management), the weight room program, the coaches, and a at-home-feeling.”
