Central Catholic OL to Take OV at WVU Football in Between Trips to Rivals
As part of Rich Rodriguez’s efforts in nearby Western Pennsylvania, the WVU football program will welcome a WPIAL offensive lineman out of a prestigious high school in for an official visit in mid June.
Pittsburgh Central Catholic 2027 product Jon Sassic has his trip south for a full weekend in Morgantown on his calendar for June 12-14.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, Sassic has experience at both left and right guard. He’s ranked as a three-star and the No. 31 player in Pennsylvania for his class.
Competing with West Virginia for Sassic are Boston College, Florida State, North Carolina State, Pitt, Virginia Tech and smaller schools like Buffalo, FAU, Kent State, Liberty, Miami (OH), Toledo and Sacramento State.
Sassic also has official visits booked with two of the Mountaineers’ rivals, as he will be in Blacksburg to check out Virginia Tech before heading to West Virginia and then will follow up his time at WVU with a trip back home to visit Pitt.
