In a Weschester Knicks 113-94 win over the Grand Rapids Gold, former WVU guard Miles “Deuce” McBride recorded 20 points and 18 assists. McBride’s 18 assists was a career-high for the Cincinnati native.

McBride’s 20 points was the ninth time that the former Mountaineer has done so in the NBA G-League during his rookie season. McBride also finished with four steals and 3-three’s made on Monday night.

McBride has had a roller coaster of a rookie season so far with the New York Knicks. The Archbishop Moeller graduate has been called up and back down for assignment constantly over the last few months. The Knicks have a lot of guard depth, but shut down starting guard Kemba Walker about a month ago.

Recently, McBride has appeared in games for the New York Knicks over the last few weeks. McBride has played in 31 games in the NBA for the Knicks, appearing in the starting lineup two times.

McBride played at West Virginia from 2019-21, appearing in 60 games for the Mountaineers. McBride averaged 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists. In his sophomore season, McBride was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, as he led WVU to a No. 3 seed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
