Former WVU Football JUCO Transfer DB to Transfer Portal

Defensive back Kaleb Gray is entering the transfer portal, he confirmed on Monday night. Gray, a Texas native and junior college transfer, will now exit the WVU football program after appearing in just two games during the 2025 season.

Gray only earned time in the season opener against Robert Morris and the season finale against Texas Tech, so against an FCS opponent and in a game that was a blowout loss for the Mountaineers.

Prior to transferring to WVU, Gray played a key role at Dodge City Community College. He started all nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, totaling 32 tackles, including 19 registered as solo tackles. He also recorded 1.5 tackles for a loss, five pass breakups and even three forced fumbles.
