It’s a White Out in Waco for WVU’s Week 6 Uniforms
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The WVU Football team (2-3) will suit up in full white on Oct. 9, when it travels to Waco, Texas to meet the Baylor Bears (4-1). The Mountaineers will don the full white uniform and add blue helmets and white gloves to finish the combination. This white out aesthetic is West Virginia’s second favorite uniform; the team has gone 23-19 in it since 2001.

WVU head coach Neal Brown’s team broke this combination out most recently last season, during the Week 7 loss in Austin, 17-13, to the Texas Longhorns. In 2021, the Mountaineers will clash with a different Texas team for the series’ 10th meeting.
Normally a shootout, the spread on Saturday’s game is only three points. In this color combination, the Mountaineers are looking crisp and ready to compete for a seventh series victory. Brown’s team is looking for a win in Waco to break up not only its 1-3 series road record, but the program’s current 0-6 away game streak. Mountaineer fans can see this color combination in action on Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. EST on FS1.
