Jaden Bray transferred to WVU Football in January 2024 after spending his first three college seasons with Big 12 foe Oklahoma State.

He appeared in five games for the Mountaineers last season, with highlights including a pair of 44-yard catches (one against the rival Pitt Panthers) before suffering a season-ending leg injury.

With 774 yards across parts of four seasons, Bray projects as a reserve at wide receiver, but his ability to break loose for a big play makes the 6-foot-2, 205 pound target a player worth watching. Injuries have also limited his production, as he missed most of the 2022 season with the Cowboys on the way to a redshirt year.

Bray could also help WVU Football as a veteran leader. When the Mountaineers struggled in 2024, he gave an insightful answer on how he helped his teammates remain focused.

Camp outlook: Bray’s lower leg injury last season didn’t immediately rule him out for the year, but continued setbacks delayed his return indefinitely. A smooth return to the field will go a long way to determining what kind of target share he can earn during his final season in college.

Projected role: Expect a WR4 workload for Bray, with shaky consistency tempering his big play potential. Last season, Neal Brown viewed Bray as a potential special teams standout. Whether Rich Rodriguez will make the same talent evaluation remains unclear.

Accolades, highlights: A three-star recruit high school, Bray is a versatile athlete who also excelled at basketball.
