Look: West Virginia Basketball Hosts 2023 Pennsylvania Recruit
West Virginia basketball hosted 2023 combo guard Makhai Valentine for an unofficial visit on Saturday. Valentine is a 6-foot-3 prospect from Pennsylvania who will play a post-graduate year at Link Academy (MO).
Valentine played this past season at Steel Valley High School in Munhall, Pa. The 2023 recruit averaged 36.2 points as a senior, leading Steel Valley to 16 wins and a WPIAL sectional title. Valentine holds offers from Kent State, Long Island, Northern Illinois, Robert Morris, Sam Houston State, South Alabama, Toledo and others.
West Virginia most recently hosted 2026 C Andrew Jensen. Jansen completed his unofficial visit to WVU on Aug. 24. Jensen, a 6-foot-9 prospect from Kaukauna, WI., has a connection with WVU assistant Jordan McCabe.
