Talk about a day for West Virginia basketball players and name, image and likeness deals. Earlier on Friday morning, WVU guard Sean McNeil signed a deal with Bob Robinson Auto in Wheeling, West Virginia. Now, it’s Isaiah Cottrell’s turn.

Cottrell announced on his Instagram that he will be signing a deal with I-79 Honda, partnering with Joe Romeo.

Romeo’s I-79 Honda store is located in Morgantown.

This deal will make it No. 2 for the 6-foot-10 forward from Las Vegas, Nevada. Cottrell is also a ‘Barstool Athlete’ and makes cameos — which are a custom video platform for fans to send in messages for money.

Cottrell is preparing to begin his second season with the Mountaineers. Cottrell will be a redshirt freshman after suffering an Achilles injury last December. Cottrell, in 10 games, averaged 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in the 2020-21 season. On Aug. 24, Cottrell was cleared to participate in all basketball activities. Cottrell has stated he is ready to get back on the court and make an impact for the Mountaineers in 2022.
